Hey Party People!

I was Spied Upon:
Remember my layout about Vic & Jacob's engagement? I submitted it to an Imaginisce's color challenge contest, but did not win. But one of the design team members saw it on my blog and posted it on their company's blog during their weekly search on the web for creations using their products. I'll take that as an honorable mention. They even linked the photo back to my blog. Hey Vic & Jacob, your engagement story is being heard among the scrapping community.

You can see Imaginisce's blog here

My Little Shoebox:
I've been busy working on my projects for My Little Shoebox's design team call. I really like their papers since it ranges from Asian to cute country designs, which is exactly in my wheelhouse. I know the odds of being chosen are against me, but I just have to try to achieve a personal goal. It is like those American Idol contestants, they had a dream and went for it, even with stadiums of other hopefuls to contest with.

MLS's Oasis collection

Kevin's physics students go to Knott's Berry Farm for an annual Physics Fun Day. There are contests, like who can build the tallest structure from an 8.5 x 11 in. piece of paper, guest speakers and a packet of questions they have to answer based on the rides. Here is a photo of a sample ride and the corresponding questions. K is just on the demo horse, the actual ride is the orange roller coaster behind him.

The kids have a whole booklet of these questions for each ride to answer. Luckily K and I did not have to do any calculations. Instead, we visited a little house that taught geology and biology to kids.

The walking stick was drinking from
Kevin's hand.

The docent insisted on putting a live
scorpion on K's ear. I declined.

We then played with the special features on our little Canon camera. You don't need Photoshop for these pics.

This is color accent on red.

This is color accent on green in the
same scene.

This is color swap, we switched all blues to red. I'm
really wearing all blue clothes, and not red leather pants.

This is on night snapshot mode, K explained why it could capture the individual droplets of water vs a continuous stream.

So it was an educational trip for us too.

Congrats on being spied! That's wonderful and you deserve it. Good luck with MLS. You are so very talented and you never know!

Doesn't the physics fun pack make Knotts much less "fun"? he he. I agree with Becky, you are very talented :)

Spending the day with you made Knotts my happiest place on earth. And the scorpion was fun too.
