Paper Made Bakery: Would You Like a Spot of Tea

The Reveal
With this month's stamp set at PMB being beverage themed, I had tea on my mind, so I decided to make a tea packet card. The envelope is the tea packet which you open by lifting the front panel upwards to reveal a pouch inside, in which the tea bag shaped card rests. My double term with Paper Made Bakery ends today, so these will be the last of my PMB kit projects. I've really enjoyed working with this company and design team, and highly recommend their kits. It has been really fun and a great challenge for me to use a card kit in different ways, beyond just card making.

Paper Made Bakery: December Summary

How was your Christmas? I hope it was a great time spent with friends and family. 

With December almost nearing its end, I thought I'd line up this month's Paper Made Bakery projects in one spot. 

The Kit

Everything was made from December's Sodas in SoHo Kit, which features trendy, fashionable patterns from the  American Craft's Soho Garden collection with matching bubbly images from  Fresh Squeezed Stamps. 

The Reveal

For today's reveal, I made a birthday card that can easily be modified to suit any occasion. I was inspired by all the bold patterns of the paper line and thought the side by side pairing within each circle was a good way to feature the patterns. The Projects

I started the month off with a New Orleans layout where I stamped my own background paper. 

I added some apothecary jars from last month's Christmas Treats stamps since it matched my photos so perfectly. 

Next, I made a 30 minute birthday card for my sister's 28th birthday as the bingo chip in my kit just happen to have a 28 on it. 

Later, I made a rainbow of flavors soda card with the sentiment stamped on the labels. This post includes a tutorial on how to color the bottles and get the look of carbonation. 

Lastly, I made an altered frame where I incorporated the stamped image of the fountain glass into the photo.

Paper Made Bakery: October Summary

I hope you enjoyed your Halloween. Since today it is the last day of the month, I wanted to share all my October Paper Made Bakery projects in one place as I could only divulge lil' sneak peeks before.

The Kit

Everything was made from October's Sweet Life Kit, which features cute, country designs from the  Avalon collection by Bazzill Basics Paper with matching images from  Fresh Squeezed Stamps. This kit quickly sold out, but wait until you see the November Christmas kit!

The Projects

I usually scrap in a fun and whimsical style so this kit was right up my alley. I wanted to make a variety of projects so there would be something for everyone. I started off with an altered item - an above the door decorative wall hanging. I really liked the little buzzing bees in the stamp set. 

Next I tackled a layout in my newly acquired Smash Book. More info and the free Studio file can be found here. 

Lastly I made a series of cards. This is a shaped refrigerator card which seemed to be the most popular item of mine this month, which also was my quickest item to create. So you just never know what strikes a chord.  

I repeated the buzzing bees in this whimsical love card. 

This is an all purpose card featuring the stickers in the kit.

Paper Made Bakery: September Summary

Hello  scrappy friends, today I have a summary of all 5 projects I made this month for Paper Made Bakery along with today's new reveal.

The Kit

Everything was made from September's Old School Kit, which features retro designs from the Twenty-Three line by Cosmo Cricket and vintage images from Lawn Fawn's Stay Tuned clear stamp set. I heard this kit is sold out, but wait until you see the October kit!

I grouped this month's projects into two categories.

The Appliance Collection

I made a series of three card which I termed the appliance collection. The first one is up on Paper Made Bakery's blog today. I incorporated the images with sentiments to create a Hello, Sorry and Miss You card. They were all so easy to make, and the stamp set was totally fun to play with. For this hello card, I love the little note that dropped from the stream of notes.

For this sorry card, I cut out the TV screen and added a printout of a cracked window.

The Grid Collection

I made a multi-photo vacation summary layout that held 12 photos with a library card as the journaling pocket. I liked the design so I used it as a card sketch to create the card below. If you like the look of a previously made layout, it is easy to convert it into a card and vice versa. The hard part of determining the placement of the pieces is already done. 

I also made two Silhouette cut files that you can download for your Cameo.

I always have a lot of fun playing with my Fresh Baked Kits. I find it is easier for me to create when using a self-contained kit, that way, I'm not rummaging around and fluctuating between collections.

Paper Made Bakery: August Summary

Everything was made from August's Garden Art kit, which is currently sold out. It features a garden themed stamp set from Lawn Fawn and a mixed media themed She Art collection from Pink Paislee.

Sweet Stamp Shop & Other News

New Design Team

I just wanted to share that starting today, I am on Sweet Stamp Shop's design team! You can read all about the new designers here. Sweet Stamp Shop makes really cute clear stamp sets. If you've seen some of my designs for Paper Made Bakery, like the Tea for Two and Cherry Blossom kits, Sweet Stamp Shop stamps were featured in those kits. Since I already love using their stamps, I'm really excited to be on the design team. I'll be sharing several stamped cards with you each month. The August release blog hops will be from August 6th - 10th, and my reveal date will be on August 9th. So please join all the fun starting next week!




ScrapStreet Magazine

I made an engagement album for my cousin, which I blogged about here and here. I submitted a few of the pages to ScrapStreet Mini Magazine and two of the pages are in the August edition which came out today. I didn't clear this with my cousin beforehand, so I hope she doesn't mind. One layout is in an article about using two photos on a page, which can be viewed here. That layout is actually part of a two paged layout. The second layout is in an article about using strips of paper, which can be viewed here. I didn't actually use paper, but used strips of ribbon instead.
